Peak Performance Buoyancy Specialty Course

  

The PADI® Peak Performance Buoyancy specialty course will change the way you dive – in the best possible way. Learn to glide effortlessly, use less air and ascend, descend or hover almost as if by thought. improve your dive times and protect your valuable equipment. This course will add polish to the buoyancy skills you learned on your Open Water Diver course, taking them to a new level. 


Course Summary

The path to becoming a PADI Peak Performance Buoyancy specialty consists of two steps:

  1. PADI eLearning: 2-4 hours
  2. Participate in 2 open water dives over 1 day.



Knowledge Development

PADI eLearning® on your own, from the comfort of your home, read, watch videos, and take quizzes at your own pace to develop knowledge of scuba rescue procedures, before you work with one of our PADI Instructors. 

Open Water Dives

Complete 2 open water dives and skills are required to complete the PADI Peak Performance Buoyancy specialty course, with Go Dive training, these take place at the National Diving Centre at Stoney Cove in Leicestershire.


Skills you will learn:

  •   How to trim your equipment so that you are perfectly balanced in the water.
  •   Accurate determination of weight, so you’re not too light or too heavy by even a slight amount.
  •   How to streamline yourself to save air and move smoothly through the water.
  •   How to hover effortlessly in both a vertical position and a horizontal position.


As well as these dives being an opportunity for you to show your instructor your mastery of these skills and procedures, you will also gain more experience diving and the basics of how to look after other divers . 


On successful completion of these dives, you will be a PADI Peak Performance Buoyancy specialty .

Equipment

We will provide all the equipment you need for the training.

Prerequisites

To enrol on a Peak Performance Buoyancy specialty course you need PADI (Junior) Open Water Divers or higher, who are at least 10 years old, are eligible to take the Peak Performance Buoyancy course.

This is the Padi Peak Performance Buoyancy specialty Course offered by Go Dive Training. It typically takes place over a single weekend, the open water dives are held at Stoney Cove.
