Discover Scuba (also known as a "Try Dive")

 A quick and easy introduction into what it takes to explore the underwater world. Although this is not a scuba certification course, you’ll learn all the steps it takes to be a PADI certified diver. 

Have you always wondered what it’s like to breathe underwater? If you want to try scuba diving, but aren’t quite ready to take the plunge into a certification course, Discover Scuba Diving is for you. Go Dive Training can help with a Thursday evening at Moorways sports village Derby.

The path for PADI Discover Scuba consists of two steps:

1. Academic eLearning study at home, approx. 20 - 30 mins.
2. Pool skill development, where you'll practice basic diving skills followed by free time to play underwater in full scuba equipment.

Prepare for your Discover Scuba Diving experience with PADI DSD eLearning™ on your own, from the comfort of your home, read, watch videos, and take quizzes at your own pace to develop knowledge of scuba diving fundamentals before you work with one of our PADI Instructors in the pool. 

After a short briefing about safety and equipment, you will be kitted out with all the equipment necessary for you to explore the hidden depths. A highly-trained PADI® Professional will provide all the scuba gear, explain basic scuba diving skills and answer any questions you may have.

The emphasis of the experience is FUN. After getting your bearings and learning the basics, you might find yourself playing with underwater toys, or you might even be shown some of the little tricks that you could learn during the early stages of the PADI Open Water course.

We will provide all the equipment you need for the training.

PADI Discover Scuba Diving experience, you must be at least 10 years old. No prior experience with scuba diving is necessary, but you need to be in reasonable physical health.

We conduct Discover Scuba Diving experiences on Thursday evenings between 8.30 & 9.30 pm. 

It takes place on a Thursday evening held at Moorways sports village Derby pool.
